Classic Night Öblarn - Orchestra Concert

For 25 years, the “Team Classic Night Öblarn” has been organizing high-caliber orchestral concerts with ensembles from the Mozart city of Salzburg every September. On Friday, September 12, 2025, classical music of the highest caliber will once again be heard in the parish church of Öblarn. The Ensemble Péridot Salzburg, conducted by Peter Peinstingl, will be performing in the Ennstal valley.

This time, the program will feature works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Franz Schubert. Wolfgang A. Mozart's Symphony No. 33 in B flat major will be performed, as well as the Clarinet Concerto in A major, K. 622, with the magnificent soloist Linda Marie Gulyàs-Nagl (clarinet). In the second part of the concert, the audience will be treated to Franz Schubert's Symphony No. 5 in D major, D 485. Audiences in recent decades have always been enthusiastic about the musical performances and the impressive acoustics of the Öblarn parish church, which the Péridot ensemble also greatly appreciates and is therefore happy to return to Öblarn.

Péridot is a Salzburg ensemble comprising around 20 musicians, whose origins lie in the St. Peter Abbey music. The musical spirit of the city of Mozart with its unique musical tradition is reflected in the artistic focus. PÉRIDOT combines historically informed music-making with the tonal and interpretative possibilities of the NOW.

The soloist for this year's concert, Linda Gulyàs-Nagl, has already performed live on Deutschlandradio Kultur and appeared as a soloist at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival with the Sopot Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2024, she released the album “Light” with the Sonus Quintet, which received widespread praise in the specialist press.

The market town of Öblarn and numerous sponsors from the regional economy will provide financial support for this special concert event.

Tickets are only available at the box office, priced at €22 for adults and €11 for schoolchildren/students. Seats can be chosen freely in the parish church in Öblarn.
