Celia Moosbrugger
Musician
Growing up in a very musical family, it soon became clear that Celia's life would be deeply influenced by music. In her rural area, folk music, including brass bands, naturally took center stage. When she moved to Graz to study music, her musical horizons expanded dramatically. New insights, inspiration from a variety of sources, and her initial self-taught learning ensured that her music had a unique, distinctive quality. Numerous compositions in the style of New Folk Music, Irish music, and pop already exist, including two pieces arranged and published for brass band. Moosbrugger and her siblings are active in folk music, performing tango, jazz, and blues on the harmonica with their trio MaMoo (double bass, guitar, harmonica). It is also very important to her to convey to society the importance of creativity. Music is so much more than a fun hobby or activity. Here, she strives to further her education so that she can later understand the bigger picture and share it with others.
