This winter hiking trail leads you through the Talbach Gorge, which offers a special charm in winter. The many small streams and rivulets that flow into the gorge from the sides often form bizarre ice formations. The hike is also possible in the evening and is a truly special experience. The path through the gorge is illuminated until midnight, and there is additional themed lighting for the gorge and the Talbach stream.

Routebeschrijving
The hike leads you from the Kraiter hiking portal in Schladming to the hiking portal in Untertal-Dorf and back. Alternatively, you can also start the hike in Untertal. You can also hike in one direction only and take the bus back from Untertal or Schladming.
Start
In Schladming-Mitte, take the B320 Ennstal federal highway and follow the signs towards the town center. At the first roundabout, go straight ahead, at the second roundabout take the third exit, and cross the bridge towards the center. Then turn right into Talbachgasse and at the end of it (after a short steep section), turn right again to the Kraiter parking lot.
If starting in Untertal-Dorf by car/bus, at the second roundabout in Schladming, continue straight ahead (second exit) on the L722 Rohrmoosstraße to Rohrmoos-Dorf. Continue on the L723 Tälerstraße to Untertal-Dorf. The Untertal-Dorf hiking portal is located on the right at the entrance to the village.
If starting in Untertal-Dorf by car/bus, at the second roundabout in Schladming, continue straight ahead (second exit) on the L722 Rohrmoosstraße to Rohrmoos-Dorf. Continue on the L723 Tälerstraße to Untertal-Dorf. The Untertal-Dorf hiking portal is located on the right at the entrance to the village.
Within Schladming, the city bus operates. From Rohrmoos, take the Planai-Hochwurzen cable car lines to the Lendplatz stop; from Ramsau, take the Ramsau public transport service.
If starting from Untertal-Dorf, take the Planai-Hochwurzen cable car buses from Schladming (Planet Planai, Lendplatz) or Rohrmoos (Rohrmoos-Zentrum) to Untertal-Dorf.

Parking is available at the Kraiter parking lot and opposite the Schladming Tourist Information Office (approx. 500 m away), as well as directly at the Untertal-Dorf hiking portal.

Ankle-high, warm shoes, warm clothing, gloves, and a hat are recommended. Perhaps a small backpack with a hot drink in a thermos.

From Untertal-Dorf, you can also choose a route via Rohrmoos for the return journey. From there, you'll have a wonderful view of Schladming, and more places to stop for refreshments await you.
