Federspiel – From the Slow Times – Christmas Concert

When Advent becomes music...
The days are getting shorter, the world a little quieter – just the right moment to pause and reflect. On Thursday, December 18, we cordially invite you to a very special Christmas concert at the Öblarner Haus für alle (ÖHA).

Guest performers: Federspiel, the award-winning wind ensemble that has been turning brass music upside down – and reinventing it – for almost two decades with its original soundscapes and irrepressible joy of playing.

With their current program “Von der langsamen Zeit” (Of Slow Time), the seven musicians give Advent a musical soul. Instead of hectic Christmas bustle, you can expect contemplative sounds, lovingly arranged folk songs, and festive melodies from around the world – including Spanish villancicos navideños.
What does Federspiel make of it? Not clumsy nostalgia, but a multi-layered listening experience with room for lightness, surprise, and warmth. You can marvel, laugh, and dream – without any kitsch, but with depth and a wink.
