33rd Spring Festival with Horses

In 2026, the Spring Festival of Horses will once again take place in Ramsau am Dachstein. Lovingly arranged flower figures, carriages pulled by magnificently decorated horses and a non-motorised parade that is unique in Austria enrich the festival programme. Of course, the supporting programme also includes plenty of traditional costumes and traditions. Musical walks, traditional dance groups and Schuhplattl'n and musical performances that make the marquee resound.
The highlight is the parade on Sunday. Flower-decorated horse-drawn carriages form the spring parade of horses together with traditional costume, music and Schnalz groups from the region. In total, over 100 horses of various breeds will be ‘in action’. The net proceeds from the festival go to the Ramsau am Dachstein mountain rescue service and social projects.
