The impressive Salza waterfall in the municipality of Mitterberg-Sankt Martin can be seen in several episodes of the mountain rescue series and forms the backdrop for spectacular rescue operations in the water and dew rescues.
The starting point for the hike to the waterfall is at the parking lot directly after the Salza entrance. The easy trail takes around 30 minutes through an idyllic forest, past the babbling Salzabach stream, over wooden bridges and well-secured steps and is also ideal for families. At the end, the impressive waterfall awaits you, with its 40-metre-high spray thundering into the turquoise lagoon.
