AVANTI, AVANTI live! Two exceptional musicians, a musical awakening: guitar virtuoso Diknu Schneeberger and accordion multi-talent Christian Bakanic bring their acclaimed album “Avanti, Avanti” to the stage with their quartet – with fiery Balkan groove, lyrical depth, gypsy jazz energy, and a whole lot of feeling.
They are supported by Martin Heinzle on double bass and Julian Wohlmuth on rhythm guitar. Together they tell musical stories of vast landscapes, inner adventures, and life's small, big moments. From fast-paced polka rides to lively musette waltzes to tranquil soundscapes, the concert promises musical diversity, fine arrangements, and plenty of joy.
Diknu Schneeberger is one of the world's most prominent guitarists in the tradition of gypsy swing. With his debut album “Rubina,” released in 2007, the then 17-year-old Viennese quickly became a shooting star on the scene and received invitations to major stages and festivals, where he caused an international sensation.
By a happy coincidence, his musical paths crossed with those of Austrian accordion virtuoso Christian Bakanic. Bakanic also made a name for himself in international jazz projects and classical chamber music ensembles and is now returning to the Styrian harmonica and his folk music roots for the first time in 20 years.
